Oscar started his career at sea on Norwegian fishing vessels in 2002. After a Commercial Yachtmaster in the UK he started working on the worlds largest Private Yacht. In 2005 he sailed to Svalbard the first time and fell in love with the high Arctic. He has been leading expeditions in Africa, Scotland, Antarctica and Svalbard for the last 10 years and founded Vega Expeditions in 2010. In his company we will find the wild life and hear all about the heroes of the polar region.

Yves is a Belgian wildlife and landscape photographer. Combined with his passion for birdwatching and travelling he gathered a huge collection of unique pictures.
His love for the Arctic brought him to many wild places all over the northern hemisphere: Scandinavia, Greenland, Alaska and Canada. But his preferred destination by far is Svalbard, where he goes every year to guide groups of photographers in winter and summer.
He has built up a very good local knowledge of nature and wildlife, and knows how to find and approach and photogragh them under the best conditions. He loves helping people make that shot they will remember for their entire life!

Marit lives in Sogndal. Working as a ski/climbing guide and teacher. As a guide she get’s to combine the two things she love the most – being outdoors and meet new people. She is by many people called one of Norway’s happiest mountain guides. Marit has been in Vega Team since 2012.

Martin works as Expedition Leader, he began his career at sea over 20 years ago and has been on the move ever since. Having stood at the Geographical North Pole seven times and been returning every year to the Antarctic and the high Arctic since 1999.
Commercially, Martin worked as safety diver on the feature film “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and led the underwater team filming Sir David Attenborough’s “Penguin Island” in South Georgia.
